Yemeni Troops Hit Saudi-Coalition Bases with Homegrown Missiles
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s army and Popular Committees fired homegrown ballistic missiles at the Saudi-led coalition’s gathering sites in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the coalition in the Arabian Peninsula country.
The missile unit of Yemen’s army and Popular Committees on Sunday fired a “Qaher 2M “ballistic missile on gatherings of Saudi-led coalition soldiers at Camp Umm Rish in the central province of Marib, the Yemen Press News Agency reported.
The missile hit the Saudi-led coalition targets accurately and inflicted heavy casualties on the soldiers.
In the meantime, the missile unit of the Yemeni forces fired a ‘Zilzal-2’ missile at the Saudi troops in Raqabat Sagam site in the kingdom’s southern province of Najran which inflicted heavy losses on the Saudi army.
In retaliation for continued massacre of Yemeni civilians, the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees have increased attacks on the occupying Saudi-led collation forces in recent days.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
