Malaysian Referee Yaacob to Officiate Al Ain v Esteghlal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Malaysian referee Mohd Amirul Izwan bin Yaacob has been chosen to officiate the match between the UAE’s Al Ain and Esteghlal of Iran.
The match will take place at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain in Matchday Three of the AFC Champions League Group D on Tuesday.
Mohd Amirul Izwan bin Yaacob has been a full international for FIFA since 2012.
The 32-year-old referee started the professional refereeing in 2011 and was awarded his FIFA badge in 2012.
He refereed some matches in AFC Champions League and AFC Cup.
In 2015, he was selected for the U-17 World Cup in Chile.
