Iran Wins Tunisia ITTF Junior Open
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran table tennis team won the Junior Boys’ Team title at the 2018 Tunisia Junior Open in Rades on Tuesday.
The Iranian team defeated China twice in the prestigious event.
The partnership of Amin Ahmadian and Amirreza Abassi beat China 3-1 in Rades, Tunisia in the final match.
On the opening day of play, in the group stage, the Iranians had overcome the Chinese duo of Zhang Shangzheng and Zhang Bo by three matches to one; one day later in the final, they did exactly the same.
Iran also defeated Egypt and India in the competition.
