Carlos Queiroz Satisfied with Iran’s Performance against Tunisia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team coach Carlos Queiroz is satisfied with the performance of his players in the pre-FIFA World Cup friendly against Tunisia.

On Friday, Team Melli lost to the African team 1-0 at the Stade Olimpique de Rades.

Milad Mohammadi scored an own goal in the 71st minute.

"We lost the game but my players showed a good performance against Tunisia. Tunisia is a strong team and has good players. We played them because Tunisia’s system is very similar to the Morocco national team, one of our opponents in the World Cup.

"Our players had a little fear in the first minutes of the match, but over time we controlled the game and the match was balanced. We gave our young players an opportunity to play against Tunisia, but the Iranian national team needs more international games before the 2018 World Cup," Queiroz told the-afc.
