Iran Wins Two Bronze Medals at IBSA Judo Grand Prix
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian judokas claimed two bronze medals at the opening International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Judo Grand Prix of 2018 in Antalya, Turkey.
South Korean Youngho Youn claimed a gold medal with victory over Ukraine’s Davyd Khorova in the men’s -66kg.
Iran’s Reza Gholami and Uzbekistan’s Utkirjon Nigmatov came third.
Woohyeok Song from South Korea took on Uzbekistan’s Asian Championships silver medalist Shirin Sharapov, winning the men’s +100kg.
Iran’s Mohammadreza Kheirollahzadeh shared the third place with Azerbaijan’s Ilham Zakiyev.
The competition is an important part of preparations for the 2018 IBSA Judo World Championships in Lisbon, Portugal, slated for November 16-18.
