Iran’s Vahid Amiri Pens Contract with Turkey’s Trabzonspor

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis free-agent attacking midfielder Vahid Amiri penned a contract with Turkish football club Trabzonspor on Saturday.

Trabzonspor has completed the signing of the Iranian international player on a two-year contract.

Amiri, who joined Persepolis from Naft Tehran in 2016, shone at the 2018 World Cup in Iran national football team.

He played 50 matches for Persepolis and scored eight goals in Iran Professional League (IPL).

Soon after, a couple of European clubs tried to sign the 30-year-old player but Amiri opted to join Trabzonspor.

The details of Amiri’s contract have not been released.
