Iran’s Women's Lightweight Quadruple Sculls Wins Silver

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Women's Lightweight Quadruple Sculls claimed a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games on Thursday.

Iran’s Maryam Omidiparsa, Mahsa Javar, Maryam Karami and Nazanin Rahmani came second with a time of 7:04.38.

Vietnam won the gold medal with 7:01.11 and bronze medal went to South Korea with a time of 7:06.22.

Iran’s Women's Double Sculls consisting Maryam Karami and Parisa Ahmadi also won a bronze medal in the Games with a time of 7:35.45.

Chine won the title with a time of 7:33.55 and South Korea snatched silver with 7:34.73.

The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta Palembang 2018, is a pan-Asian multi-sport event scheduled to be held from 18 August to 2 September in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

The athletes compete in 465 events across 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
