India Did Not Play Beautiful Football, Iran U-16 Coach Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-16 football team head coach Abbas Chamanian criticized India’s performance after both teams shared the spoils in the Asian championship.

Iran, who lost to Indonesia 2-0 in Group C in the competition’s opener, will meet Vietnam in its last group match and is on the verge of elimination from the event.

"India did not play the beautiful game. If we scored the first goal early, things would have been different," Chamanian said in the post-match news conference.

"We could have scored two goals and show the beautiful football to people.”

“We lost the chance to earn three points but we will be prepared for the next game," he added.
