Javelin Thrower Alizadeh Earns Gold at Asian Para Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Mehdi Alizadeh seized a gold medal at the Men's Javelin Throw F33/34 in the 2018 Asian Para Games on Thursday.

Alizadeh claimed the gold medal with a throw of 20.96m.

The silver medal went to his countryman Mohsen Kaedi who threw 31.72.

China’s Yanzhang Wang won the bronze medal, throwing 31.69m.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
