Iran’s Pakbaz, Heydari Gain Gold, Silver at Asian Para Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Discus throwers Saman Pakbaz and Masoud Heydari claimed gold and silver medal respectively at the 2018 Asian Para Games.

Pakbaz finished in first place at the Men's Discus Throw F12, throwing 51.06m.

Silver medal went to Heydari who threw 48.65m.

Elbek Sultonov from Uzbekistan earned the bronze medal with a throw of 39.39m.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
