Commander Stresses IRGC's Close Watch on Modern Terrorism

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari underlined the necessity for upgrading Iran's defensive tactics to confront modern threats posed by enemies, including bioterrorism and laser terrorism.

“Bioterrorism, laser terrorism and different types of conventional and modern methods (of terrorism) should be monitored and identified constantly and wisely, and effective methods of confronting them must be put on our agenda,” Major General Jafari told a group of IRGC commanders and personnel in Tehran on Wednesday.

The IRGC commander further noted that terrorist threats in modern world comes from the technological achievements made by world major powers and Iran's enemies, adding that enemies have created complex atmosphere of terror by combining the technology with their global domination.

Jafari, however, underlined the necessity for the full preparedness of the IRGC to successfully confront and repel enemy threats.

"Always, we should have dominance over enemies' intelligence capabilities and their tools and tactics."
