Iranian Foreign Minister Congratulates Christmas
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message on Tuesday felicitated the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.
"(I) congratulate the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ, the messenger of peace, justice and mercy," Zarif wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in separate messages congratulated his Christian counterparts on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and the new Christian year.
Christmas is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ and a widely observed cultural holiday, celebrated generally on December 25 by billions of people around the world.
