Iran, Turkmenistan to Hold Joint Consular, Border Commission Meeting

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 10th session of the joint consular, border and customs commission of Iran and Turkmenistan will start work here in Tehran tomorrow.

The commission will be held in the Iranian capital on January 13-14.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriate Affairs Hassan Qashqavi and Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Vafa Hajiyev will attend the event.

During the meeting, the Iranian and Turkmen officials are scheduled to study the memorandum of understanding (MoU) previously signed by the two sides and explore ways for further expanding bilateral interactions.

Other topics to be addressed in the joint commission include facilitating the visits by the two countries’ citizens and visa requirment, customs and border services.
