Iran's President Felicitates Muslims on Birth Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday congratulated Muslim leaders and the Islamic governments and nations on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In separate messages to leaders of different Islamic countries on Sunday, President Rouhani extended his felicitations to the Muslim heads of state on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whom he described as the “harbinger of tolerance, fraternity and equality.”

He also paid tribute to the Prophet for inviting the mankind to live in a world full of peace and free from extremism, and expressed the hope that the contemporary world would witness unity and fraternity among Muslim people.

The 17th day of the lunar Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal marks the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far Sadeq (PBUH).
