FM: Iran Not to Allow Zionist Crimes to Be Forgotten

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday stressed that Iran will not allow the Zionist regime to divert world attention from the regime’s crimes against the Palestinian nation.

“In the past years, the Zionists have always tried to use Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as a pretext for diverting the attention of world public opinion and governments from their crimes in Palestine,” Zarif said in a meeting with Jibril Rajoub, a member of Palestinian Fatah’s Central Committee.

The Iranian FM added that Iran’s approach to enter the nuclear talks (with the world powers) and reach an agreement was aimed at denying the Zionist regime such an excuse.

He further urged the Palestinian people to uphold resistance, unity and solidarity in order to prevent further Zionist aggressions.

Iran’s top diplomat dismissed any foreign meddling in determining the future of Pearlstine, and said the Palestinian people are fully capable of deciding their fate and their future.

Elsewhere, Zarif underlined that Iran will use its entire political capacity as the president of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Quds Committee to support the Palestinian people in the international arenas.

Jibril Rajoub, for his part, conveyed the greetings of the Palestinian nation and President Mahmoud Abbas to Iran’s Supreme Leader, officials and people, and thanked the Iranian government and nation for their support for the cause of Palestine and the holy Quds.
