Iran's Zarif, US Kerry Meet in Munich
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his US counterpart John Kerry had a meeting this morning on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, American and European officials confirmed Sunday.
In a message posted on her twitter account today, US State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki confirmed that US Secretary of State John Kerry and the Iranian foreign minister "met on the margins of the Munich Security Conference this morning."
Later, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt in his twitter message confirmed the Meeting this morning between Zarif and Kerry.
The Iranian foreign minister attended the Munich conference which aims to discuss different regional and international issues, including nuclear issue and Middle East developments.
