Iranian Publishing Delegation Visiting Afghanistan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A delegation from Iran’s publishers and printing institutes, headed by Iranian deputy minister of culture, started a visit to Afghanistan on Saturday.

Headed by Deputy Minister of Culture for Cultural Affairs Seyyed Abbas Salehi, the Iranian publishing delegation will meet with Afghanistan’s publishers and visit the country’s private publishing and printing centers this afternoon.

They will also attend a dinner banquet to be thrown by Afghanistan’s minister of culture tonight.

The delegation’s weeklong visit to Kabul is aimed at helping to develop cultural ties between the two neighboring countries and enhancing relations between Iranian and Afghan publishers and writers.

Afghanistan shares a long and intertwined history with Iran. The two countries also have a shared language and similar cultures and enjoy friendly and brotherly relations.
