Iranian Negotiators Try to Draft Final Nuclear Deal Text: FM Zarif

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that Iranian nuclear negotiation team would do its best to start drafting the text of the final deal with the six world powers over the country's peaceful nuclear program.

Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator’s remark came at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport prior to his departure to Austrian capital of Vienna.

Zarif, heading the nuclear negotiating team, left Tehran for Vienna this morning to attend the fifth round of negotiations with the representatives of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.

Earlier, Abbas Araqchi, a senior member of Iranian nuclear negotiating team had said that Iran and six world powers were determined to start the drafting process of the final deal on Tehran's peaceful nuclear energy program in the fresh round of talks in Vienna.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (alternatively known as the P5+1 or E3+3) inked an interim deal on Tehran’s nuclear program in Geneva last November, which came into force on January 20.

Since then, the two sides have held several rounds of talks discussing ways to iron out their differences and start drafting a final deal that would end the West’s dispute with Iran over the country’s nuclear energy program.
