US Embassy in Israel Tells Workers to Stay Home

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The US embassy in Tel-Aviv published a statement directed at its workers, in which they are instructed to remain in their homes, in light of the rocket fire directed at the city.

The message also stated that the embassy will be working in a reduced fashion and that the US Ambassador to Israel is forbidden to travel south of Tel-Aviv without official permission, Arutz Sheva reported.

The statement came as Israeli regime continues air strikes on Gaza Strip, killing 29 people including women and children .

The Israeli army said it carried out some 50 airstrikes on the coastal strip on Tuesday. Several residential buildings were targeted in the raids. Mohammad Shabaan, a military commander of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, is also among the fatalities.

Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

The apartheid regime of Israel denies about 1.7 million people in Gaza their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, jobs that pay proper wages, and adequate healthcare and education.
