Tunisian Selim Benachour Set to Join Iran’s Paykan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Former Tunisian midfielder Selim Benachour is on the verge of joining Iranian football club Paykan.

The 32-year-old player has reportedly reached an agreement to join Paykan on a two-year contract.

Benachour began his career at Paris Saint-Germain  in 2001 and has also played at Kuwaiti Al Qadsia, Malaga, Maritimo and Apoel.

Selim Benachour has made 44 appearances for Tunisia and scored two goals.

Newly-promoted Paykan is preparing for the 14th edition of the Iran Professional League, which will kick off on July 31.
