Shahram Mahmoudi Misses Two Games in FIVB World Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian opposite hitter Shahram Mahmoudi will miss two games at the 2014 FIVB World Championship due to foot injury.

Mahmoudi suffered an ankle injury during the match against Italy in Pool D of the FIVB World Championship on Sunday.

Mahmoudi had already suffered a twisted ankle in the match against Poland in July and missed the rest of the competition.

The Iranian opposite hitter will miss the matches against US and France on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.

Iran has earned a remarkable 3-1 victory over Italy in its opening match.
