Iran Coach Kovac Content with Win over Belgium

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran national volleyball team coach Slobodan Kovac is happy due to win against Belgium in the FIVB Men’s World Championship.

Iran defeated Belgium 3-1 (25-23, 25-15, 21-25, 25-20) on Saturday and secured its ticket for the second round of the competition.

“In some moments we were a bit lucky, but we played better than the last game. We didn't start well, but we won,” Slobodan Kovac told FIVB. Org.

“I'm happy that our game looked much better than against France. We won't need extra motivation for game against Puerto Rico, even being already into the next phase, because every victory gives my team more confidence and we need that for next opponents,” he added.

The Iranian team will play Puerto Rico on Sunday.

The second round will begin from September 10.
