Ayatollah Khamenei Undergoes Surgery in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Monday morning underwent a surgery for prostate problem, which was performed successfully.
“I’m going to hospital for a surgery. There is no need to worry. This doesn't mean that I don't need people's prayer. God willing, there's nothing to worry about. It is just a normal operation” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The leader made the comments shortly before going to hospital. The operation was carried out at a state-run hospital in capital Tehran.
According to the website of the leader's office, the surgery has been successfully performed.
