Iran Ups Foreign Trade by 22%
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The value of Iran’s foreign trade has witnessed a 22% increase during the first six months of the current Iranian year (started on March 21) compared with the same period last year, a trade official said Monday.
“The value of the country’s foreign trade grew 22 percent to over $53 billion during the first six months of the current (Iranian) year,” Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Valiollah Afkhami-Raad said Monday.
He expressed optimism that the value Iran’s foreign trade would reach $110 billion by the end of the current Iranian year, Press TV reported.
Meanwhile, Iran’s non-oil exports has reached $16bln in the first four months of the current Iranian year and the figure shows a 20% increase compared with the same period last year.
