Iranian President Calls on Economy Ministry to Facilitate Private Sector Investment

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's President Hassan Rouhani urged his economic team to facilitate the private-sector investment in the country's economic projects in the new Iranian year, which began on March 21.

Speaking Sunday at a meeting of the Coordination Committee on Resistance Economy in Tehran, President Rouhani pointed to the new atmosphere in Iran's economy and the efforts made to eliminate sanctions-related obstacles to the country's exports and production, and asked the Iranian ministry of economy to prepare the ground for the active presence of the private sector in the country's economic affairs.

Back in February 2014, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in a proclamation outlined a series of general policies to boost the country's economy and lower its vulnerabilities.

The dynamic and long-term strategy that can help Iran realize its economic objectives, has given serious consideration for the private sector and its active role in the country's economic affairs.
