Former Iran, Persepolis Goalkeeper Dies

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Iranian and Persepolis goalkeeper Aziz Asli has died at the age of 77.

Asli died at a hospital in Munich, Germany on Thursday.

Asli started his career with Daraei in the Iranian football in 1949 and joined Persepolis in 1955.

The goalkeeper was also a member of the Iranian football team who won the Asian Cup in 1968 in Tehran.

Asli was also actor and painter.
