Iran Comes Eighth in Asian Women's Volleyball Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran finished in eighth place in the 18th Asian Women's Volleyball Championships in Tianjin, China, on Thursday.
The Iranian team lost to Kazakhstan in straight sets (25–21, 25–18, 25–19) in the 7th-8th place.
Iran started the campaign with a victory over India but lost to China, Vietnam (twice), Japan, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
Excluding Japan, the top three teams will participate in the World Olympic Qualification Tournament.
