Fenerbache Hammers Iran's Zob Ahan Football Team in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Hazfi Cup champion Zob Ahan suffered a heavy defeat against Turkey's Fenerbahce in a warm-up match on Saturday.
In the match held at the 18 Temmuz Stadyumu, the Turkish giant defeated Zob Ahan 7-0.
Fernandao (5th), Miroslav Stoch (20th), Mehmet Topal (33rd), Nani (65th), Josef de Souza (75th), Mehmet Topuz (77th) and Moussa Sow (79th) scored for Fenerbache.
Zob Ahan finished fourth in the Iran Professional League last season but the Isfahan-based team won the title of the Hazfi Cup after defeating Naft Tehran in the final match.
