Swedish PM Rushed to Hospital

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven was rushed to hospital on Thursday after becoming ill on a flight from Ethiopia, his spokeswoman said.

Lofven became "seriously nauseated" while flying home from Addis Ababa, where he was attending an international development conference, and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after his plane touched down in Stockholm, his spokeswoman Anne Ekberg told the Aftonbladet daily.

"He will undergo a few tests and then should go home," Ekberg told AFP, without providing further details on the nature of his illness.

The 57-year-old Social Democrat has been premier since October.
