Iran’s Top Negotiators to Brief MPs on Nuclear Conclusion

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi will go to the parliament Tuesday to give the lawmakers a report on the nuclear talks with major world powers that concluded with a final document last week.

The two senior Iranian officials will attend a closed-door session of the parliament at the invitation of the lawmakers, Zargham Sadeqi, member of the parliament’s presiding board told the Tasnim News Agency.

Foreign Minister Zarif led the country’s team of negotiators in marathon nuclear talks between Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

Iran and the Group 5+1 (also known as the P5+1 or E3+3) concluded more than two weeks of intensive talks over Tehran's nuclear program in Vienna on July 14.

The negotiating parties reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on the nuclear issue after 22 months of talks.
