Toni Oliveira Quits Iran's Tractor Sazi Job

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Antonio Jose da Conceicao Oliveira, known as Toni, has parted company with Iran’s Tractor Sazi football team on Tuesday.

Tractor Sazi General Manager Saeid Abbasi confirmed that the Portuguese is no longer coach of Tabriz-based team.

“We made a final decision on the coach today. We’ve also reached a final agreement with Toni over financial issues,” Abbasi said.

The new head coach of Tractor Sazi will be named as soon as possible, he added.

Toni took charge of the Tabriz-based team on a one-and-a-half-year deal in February. The 69-year-old Portuguese coach replaced Khatibi but failed to win the title with Tractor Sazi.

The Iranian media reports that Tractor Sazi has linked with former Esteghlal of Tehran coach Amir Ghalenoei, former Sepahan coach Hossein Faraki and Rasoul Khatibi.
