Iran U-23 Football Team Downs Antalyaspor in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian U-23 football team defeated a team from Antalyaspor club 5-0 in a friendly match on Wednesday.
Arsalan Motahhari scored a hat-trick in this match held in Antalya. Mehrdad Mohammadi and Reza Aliyari also scored for Iran U-23 football team.
Mohammad Khakpour’s men are preparing for the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship.
Iran has been drawn in Group A of the competition, which will be held in Doha, Qatar from January 12 to 30.
The team will open the event with a match against Syria.
Host Qatar and China are in the group as well.
The tournament will serve as the 2016 Olympic qualifier.
