Iran’s Haghi Wins Bronze in Asian Cycling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Alireza Haghi of Iran claimed a bronze medal at the 2016 Asian Cycling Championships in Oshima, Japan on Thursday.
Hong-Kong’s Cheung King-lok seized the gold medal after he finished the men’s time trial in one hour and 15.50 seconds beating second place Choe Hyeon-min of South Korea by seven seconds in the 44.8-kilometre race.
The third place went to Alireza Haghi of Iran, who finished 10 seconds behind Cheung.
Iran’s Amir Hossein Jamshidian won a silver medal on Wednesday in the men’s under-23 time trial.
A total of 27 countries are taking part at the Championships, which includes both Para and able-bodied competitions.
