Tractor Sazi Loses to Al Ain in AFC Champions League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tractor Sazi of Iran was defeated by Al Ain of the UAE in Group C of the Asian Champions League.
The host beat the Iranian outfit 3-1 at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan bagged a brace in the 16th and 73rd minutes.
Mohamed Abdel Rahman also scored for the Emirati team in the 38th minute.
Milad Fakhreddini scored Tractor’s only goal in the 42nd minute.
In the other match, Lekhwia of Qatar defeated AlIttihad of Saudi Arabia 2-0 in Doha.
Al Ain moved up to first place of the table with six points, followed by Lekhwia and Tractor Sazi with four points.
Al Ittihad is fourth with three points.
