Iranian Worshipers Praise President Ahmadinejad’s Services

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will receive appreciation today at Tehran University for his 8 years of services as the country's president.

President Ahmadinejad will receive appreciation in the gathering of Iranian worshipers here in Tehran and on the occassion of the International Quds Day rallies in the Iranian capital.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad born 28 October 1956 is the sixth President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

An engineer and teacher, Ahmadinejad’s former state position was a provincial governor. Tehran's council elected him mayor in 2003.

He became President on 3 August 2005 for his first, and in 2009 for his second term in office as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After election held on June 14, 2013, Hassan Rouhani was elected as Ahmadinejad's successor and will take office on 3 August 2013.
