Iran into Asian Junior Handball C’ship Next Stage

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Uzbekistan 37-22 at the 15th edition of the Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship on Sunday.

Iran, who had already defeated Jordan in Group A, advanced to the next stage with the win.

Group B consists of Japan, Saudi Arabia and Palestine.

South Korea, Bahrain and India are in Group C and Qatar, Iraq and China have been drawn in Group D.

The competition kicked off in Amman on July 22 and will run until August 1.

The 2016 Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship is the 15th edition of the Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship held from 22 July - 1 August 2016 at Amman, Jordan under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.

It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2017 Men's Junior World Handball Championship which will be held in Algeria.
