Shojaei Inks Las Palmas Deal

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The speculations about Masoud Shojaei’s future club ended Monday night, when the 29-year-old 52 times Iranian international player signed a one-year-deal with Spanish second league club UD Las Palmas.

Shojaei had joined Osasuna in 2008 and played 101 games for the Basques, before he parted with the team in summer, the Persian Football sports news website reported.

Las Palmas finished in 6th position of second league last season before losing in the La Liga promotion playoffs, but now stands in disappointing 16th position after three rounds.

Shojaei will play alongside former Spanish international midfielder Juan-Carlos Valeron and former Hamburg, Ajax and Tottenham left-back Timothy Atouba at the club from the Canary Islands.
