Iran Volleyball Knows Rivals at Islamic Solidarity Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran volleyball team has learned its opponents in the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games scheduled for May.

The Iranian representative has been drawn in Pool B along with Qatar, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

Pool A consists of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.

Iran will not participate in the competition with its main team.

The competition will bring a total of 5,000 athletes from over 50 countries together from May 12 to 22.
