Dozens of Saudi Mercenaries Killed in Yemeni Forces’ Fresh Attacks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliation for continued acts of aggression by the Saudi-led coalition, launched attacks on mercenaries of the Riyadh regime in different parts of the Arabian Peninsula country, killing dozens of them.

Military sources said the Yemeni forces have killed 33 mercenaries of the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, in Sirwah District in the west-central Marib province.

Several other mercenaries of the Saudi regime were also killed following a missile attack by Yemeni forces in Nihm District in the Sana'a Province, the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen TV reported.

The attacks by the Yemeni forces were carried out in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

According to Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
