Resistance Front’s Media Played Major Role in Recent Victories: Hezbollah Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah praised the important role of the Resistance Front’s media outlets in recent victories of the resistance forces against foreign-backed terrorist groups.

Speaking at a meeting with the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Abdolali Ali-Askari, in Lebanon, Nasrallah highlighted the importance of recent victories of the Resistance Front forces against Takfiri terror groups.

The Hezbollah leader also underlined that media outlets of the Axis of Resistance have played a major role in the victories.

Ali-Askari, for his part, said the IRIB as one of the members of the Islamic Radio and Television Union (IRTVU) is making efforts to reach the pre-planned objectives of the Resistance Front with all its power and equipment.

He also said global arrogant powers led by the US are trying to undermine the Islamic Republic, Hezbollah and resistance movements in the region, but their efforts always fail.

In recent months, the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters have made major advances against Takfiri terrorists in the Qalamoun mountains in the Lebanon-Syria joint border areas.

They have liberated large areas and forced al-Nusra Front (now known as Tahrir al-Sham) terrorists to escape the region.

Hezbollah says its counterterrorism mission in Syria and along the common borders is aimed at preventing the spillover of the crisis into Lebanon.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL), and al-Nusra Front, currently controlling parts of it.

According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.
