Iran’s Sarmaye Loses to ZAKSA at FIVB Club World Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sarmaye Bank of Iran lost to ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle 3-2 in the opening match of the 2017 FIVB Men's Club World Championship on Tuesday.

In the competition underway in Opole, Poland, the Iranian team lost to ZAKSA in five-set (19-25, 20-25, 25-16, 31-29, 17-15).

Sarmaye Bank will play Brazilian powerhouse Sada Cruzeiro on Wednesday.

The 2017 FIVB Men's Club World Championship is the 13th edition of the tournament.

 It takes place in Poland for the first time from 12 to 17 December 2017.

Eight teams compete in the tournament, including two wild cards.
