FIVB Club World Championship: Sarmaye Loses to Italy’s Lube
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian volleyball team Sarmaye Bank suffered its third defeat in a row at the 2017 FIVB Men's Club World Championship on Thursday.
Sarmaye Bank was defeated against Italian champion Cucine Lube Civianova in straight sets (26-24, 25-17, 25-23) in Pool A.
The Italian team finished at the top of the pool undefeated.
Sarmaye Bank had already lost to Poland’s ZAKSA and Brazilian Sada Cruzeiro in the competition underway in Opole, Poland.
On Saturday, Lube will face PGE Skra Belchato, while Sada meet Zenit Kazan in semifinals.
