Iran’s President Congratulates World Leaders on Christmas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In congratulatory messages to world leaders on Christmas Eve, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wished peaceful coexistence and peace for 2018.

In separate messages to world leaders on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH), President Rouhani expressed the hope that the international community would experience peace, justice, equality, fraternity and moderation in the coming year.

He also stressed the need for interfaith dialogue, hoping that 2018 would bring prosperity and exclude discrimination and violence across the world.

In a separate message on Sunday, President Rouhani congratulated the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, on Christmas and beginning of 2018.

Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 as a religious and cultural holiday by millions of people around the world.
