Yemeni Forces Liberate Strategic Mountain in Baida Province

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni army, backed by Popular Committees loyal to the Houthi Ansarullah movement, captured a strategic mountain in the central province of Baida on Wednesday.

The Yemen army and Popular Committees took control of Markuzah strategic mountain and nearby sites in the overnight operation against Saudi-paid mercenaries in Nattea district in Baida, a military official told Saba News Agency on Wednesday.

Tens of Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed, injured and surrendered in the attack, the official added.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two and half years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
