New Horizon Int’l Conference on Quds Kicks Off in Mashhad

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 6th edition of the New Horizon Conference opened in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad with European and American analysts and figures in attendance.

Titled “Quds, Permanent Capital of Palestine”, the international conference began at Al-Ghadir Hotel in the holy city on Friday morning.

More than 50 senior American, European, Asian and Russian scholars and political commentators are attending the two-day event.

The gathering focuses on the latest developments in the Middle East and the world, particularly US President Donald Trump’s plan to move his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (al-Quds).

On December 6, Trump defied global warnings and said Washington formally recognized al-Quds as the “capital” of Israel and would begin the process of moving its embassy to the occupied city later this month, breaking with decades of American policy.
