Iran’s Defense Minister Congratulates Muslim Counterparts on Eid al-Fitr

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami in separate messages to his counterparts in Muslim nations congratulated them on the religious festivity of Eid al-Fitr, marking an end to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

In the Thursday messages to the defense ministers of Iraq, Republic of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Syria, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, Indonesia and Malaysia, General Hatami expressed the hope that the world’s Muslims would exercise vigilance, unity and rapport in the face of the plots hatched by the enemies of Islam, particularly in the delicate situation after the US government’s move to relocate its Israel embassy to the city of al-Quds (Jerusalem), which he described as sign of Washington’s practical and full support for the Zionist regime’s crimes against Palestinians.

Eid-al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.

Also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
