Iranian, Kazakh Navies Sign Defense MoU

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defense cooperation was signed between top navy commanders of Iran and Kazakhstan on Tuesday.

The MoU was signed during a meetign between Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari and his Kazakh counterpart General Zhandarbek Zhanzakov here in Tehran.

The commander of Kazakhstan Navy arrived in Tehran today at the top of a military delegation at the invitation by his Iranian counterpart.

During his stay in Iran, the Kazakh commander will visit the Islamic Republic’s naval facilities and capabilities.

In a relevant development this month, Namibian Navy Commander Admiral Peter Villo paid an official visit to Iran.

Villo also called on Tehran to provide his country with naval training and experiences in manufacturing maritime facilities.
