Asian Games: Fender Pakdaman Seizes Bronze Medal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ali Pakdaman from Iran claimed a bronze medal in the individual sabre of the 2018 Asian Games on Monday.
South Korean Gu Bon-gil defeated his countryman Oh Sang-uk 15-14 in all-South Korean final.
In the third Asian Games meeting between two South Koreans in the men's sabre final, Gu, world No. 2, prevailed over his fifth-ranked teammate.
Gu is now the first fencer to win three consecutive Asiad gold medals in the men's individual sabre. He's also the only one with multiple gold medals in the event.
Pakdaman and Hong Kong’s Low Ho Tin jointly won the bronze medal.
