Intelligence Minister Praises Iran's High Level of Security

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran enjoys a high level of security compared with regional countries, said Intelligence Minister Seyed Mahmoud Alavi Sunday morning in the northern city of Sari.

Referring to security as the stepping stone for the progress and development of the country, Alavi said Iran is in a much better position in terms of security compared with other countries in the region.

He also appreciated the ceaseless endeavors of the country’s intelligence officers and staff, who he said were the reason behind Iran's "exemplary security."

A senior Iranian commander said on October 21 that the majority of terrorist groups in the country are identified before being able to carry out any plot.

“Most terrorist groups in Iran are uncovered early on, with the remaining ones are discovered and disbanded before they can carry out any operations,” Commander of the Iranian Basij (volunteer) Force Brigadier General Mohamad Reza Naqdi said.

In relevant remarks, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iran enjoys the highest level of security among world countries, adding that his forces managed to foil as many as 11 suicide attack plots in southeastern parts of the country in recent months.

“Today, the Islamic Iran is the safest country in the world, and our country’s borders also enjoy incomparable (level of) security,” Jafari said.
