Iran Futsal Still Sixth in World Rankings
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national futsal team is still in sixth place in the latest world rankings published on Thursday.
The Persians still are the best Asian team, sitting in sixth place in the world with 1654 points.
Brazil remains top in the world with 1909 points, followed by Spain (1807), Portugal (1696), Argentina (1693) and Russia (1686).
Asian teams Japan and Thailand are 16th and 18th in the ranking with 1358 and 1285 points, respectively.
Iran finished at third place at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia 2016 after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal following a 2-2 draw.
